Traditional portals block you with strict file caps (e.g. WeTransfer's 2GB free cap). Share2Me lets you send large files free—videos, raw footage, database backups, and project archives—without any limits.

Bypassing Server Disk Allocation Boundaries

The main reason other sites limit file sizes is server disk space. Senders upload files to the company's servers, which incurs storage and hosting costs. Share2Me bypasses server storage completely by streaming data directly between browser windows.

Because your files are never written to our disks, we don't have to enforce caps, allowing you to share files of any size.

WebRTC Backpressure & Flow Control

When sending massive files, a fast sender can easily overwhelm a slow receiver's buffer, leading to memory bloating or connection crashes. Share2Me solves this with a custom backpressure flow control algorithm.

We monitor the bufferedAmount property of the RTCDataChannel. If the buffer queue exceeds 16MB, we pause the FileReader chunking pipeline. Once the receiver finishes writing the chunks to disk and the buffer drops below 1MB, we resume reading, ensuring stable transfers even for 100GB files.
